The North-South Transit Corridor as a multi-modal transit corridor can play an effective role in the sea-oriented development process due to its connection to the open seas through the southern coasts of the country; Because currently 90% of international trade takes place through the seas, especially the open seas. Also, in terms of geopolitics and geoeconomics, this passageway can promote the country's position and weight in the regional and international arenas by creating regional alliances and common economic interests, as well as entering the global supply chain. This 20-year opportunity can be revived and provide national interests in the shadow of the current global developments and the announcement of sea-oriented development policies by the Supreme Leader. In this research, in addition to examining the role of this precious opportunity in sea-oriented development, securing the political and economic interests of the country and the obstacles to its realization, suggestions will also be made about its maximum activation at the governmental and private sector levels.
